Saving to Seymour

Four ways in, one queue. Set up the ones you'll actually use.

On your iPhone or iPad The Seymour app

Coming soon. Until then, the bookmarklet in Safari below saves from the iPhone, and the web app plays your queue there.

On a Mac, in Chrome The extension

Also Edge, Brave and Arc: same engine, same steps.

  1. Download the extension and double-click the zip to unpack it. Keep the seymour-extension folder somewhere it will stay, such as Documents.
  2. Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked and choose that folder.
  3. Mint a token in Settings › Devices, then right-click the Seymour icon in the toolbar › Options, paste the token and click Save & Test.

Then: click the toolbar icon to save the tab, right-click any link to save just that link, or press ⌃⇧S. A green ✓ on the icon means it landed. Right-click the toolbar icon › Copy My Seymour Address when a newsletter signup asks for an email.

On a Mac, in any browser The bookmarklet

Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Arc: one button on your bookmarks bar that saves as you. Each one carries its owner's key, so it appears here once you sign in.

From any mail app Your Seymour address

Every account has a private address that saves whatever is mailed to it. It appears here once you sign in.

On your iPhone, in Safari The bookmarklet

A bookmark that saves the page you are on. It carries its owner's key, so the code appears here once you sign in.

Anywhere Paste a URL

The save bar at the top of your queue takes a pasted link on any device. Slower, but it needs nothing installed: worth knowing about for a browser you're borrowing.
